Yoga For Thyroid – Poses For Healing

  1. SURYA NAMASKAR (FAST-PACED):

 It is a complete practice in itself and includes asanas, pranayamas, meditation, mantra techniques. It's one set consists of  12 asanas. 1 cycle consists of two sets for both the right and left side.

Repeatedly practicing these cycles helps to regulate the flow of energy inside the body through Pingala Nadi. It is performed in a rhythmic way and transforms your body and mind completely. Your metabolic system will improve, digestion also, regulates the endocrine system so that the secretion is maintained.

  1. VIPARITA KARANI ASANA (INVERTED POSE):

This pose has benefits similar to Sarvangasana. It increases the flow of blood near the neck region and maintains the balance of endocrine glands. It eases complications due to hypoactive thyroid.

Lie flat on your back raise your legs up till they are perpendicular to the floor. Lift your hips and place your palms under your lower back. With the help of your palms and elbows keep lifting your torso till it is 45 degrees to the floor.

Final position- legs are 90 degrees to the floor and the body is at a 45-degree angle. Yoga blocks can be used to support your back.
